Swindon Dolphin’s
Commonwealth breaststroker
Chris
Jones
set
a new world record in the three-day ASA Masters Short Course Championships at Ponds
Forge in
Sheffield
.

Chief coach Andi
Manley
had predicted that at least one British record
could be returning to

Milton Road

, but Jones broke the world mark in the 200m in a time of 2:18.04.

Jones was
in peak form all weekend, claiming five individual gold medals before playing a key
role in both the record-breaking freestyle and medley relays.

set two British records in the men’s 100-plus years 4 x 50 metres freestyle and medley
