Dolphin
combined with swimmers from Swindon ASC to represent
Swindon North at the Centenary Inter Local Authority B/C Grade gala at Trowbridge
last Saturday.  This was an excellent gala with the positions changing hands
frequently throughout the afternoon.  The team came a creditable third, behind
winners West Wiltshire, and a Swindon South team made up of swimmers from Tigersharks
and Wroughton.

The Dolphin team included a large number of less experienced swimmers
and they all took the opportunity to show what they can do.  Leading the way
was Scarlet Cholod who notched up three
personal bests in her four swims.  Not to be outdone, sister Jade also
recorded a PB in her individual event.  Young Niamh
Montague
recorded her best ever 50m breaststroke time, whilst the
older generation also got in on the act, with John Waite,
Zoe Pattenden, Joe Kerslake
and boy’s captain Chris
Sinsbury
all achieving improvements.

Final scores:  West Wilts 223 points, Swindon South 211
points, Swindon North 194 points, South Wilts 187 points, North
Wilts 168 points, Kennet 71 points
