Michal Trzeciak led the way against Bristol University on Sunday with 6 excellent goals as Swindon Dolphin returned to winning ways, securing a comfortably 17 – 7 victory. A much improved Milton Road side, who lost to the same opposition earlier in the season, started brightly opening up a 5 goal lead by half time and went on to double it by the end of play. Andy Hicks netted four, Matt James bagged three and Chris Selby and Diogo Monteiro grabbed two apiece, leaving the students unable to handle the movement of the home team, who played their best water polo for
a few weeks.
“It was good to have a strong squad back together to end our poor run” commented top scorer, Trzeciak, after the match. “We played very well but we now need to perform like we did today in our next two, back to back, away games, which will be extremely tough encounters.”
Dolphin’s next matches are on Thursday 5th June – away to Bristol Central II and on Friday 6th June – away to Cardiff University.
