Last weekend saw the first open meet action of the season for Dolphin with a small group of swimmers competing in the Tigersharks Open meet at the Link.
Ben Clark got his season off to a promising start in the first event bagging a new Wiltshire Qualifying Time (WQT) in the 200 Frs. On the way to achieving this, he also hit new PBs on the 50m and 100m splits and went on to hit the qualifying mark in the 50m and 100m events themselves. Gina Popal, in her first appearance in Dolphin colours, achieved WQTs for the first time in the 100m Brs and 100m Fly and came within a whisker in the 100 Bks.
Other new WQTs came from Rebecca Matthews (50m Fly and 50m Bks), John Waite (100m Brs, 50m Frs), Bradley McCabe (100m Fly), Conor McGilligan (50m Brs), Eliza Garrett (50m Fly), Jade Cholod (100m Fly), Scarlet Cholod (100m Frs).
Top Dolphins in the medal stakes were Rebecca Saunders with two gold (50m Frs, 200m Frs) and one silver (100m Frs) and Ashlee Cox who claimed one gold (50m Frs).
