Wiltshire Qualifying Times Pile Up at Corsham

With the County BAGCAT competition less than one month away, a 51 strong contingent of Dolphin swimmers descended on Corsham last weekend for the Corsham Open Meet with all competitors eager to bag last minute qualifying times.

The vast majority of swimmers recorded personal best times with 76 swims within the county standard and seven swimmers – Lucy Anne Purnell, Stephanie Dabbs, Rosie Mundy, Thomas Gase, Charlotte Denley, Amber Davies and Emma Horton – achieving their first ever Wiltshire qualifying time. There were particularly good overall performances from Adam Coleman, Emily Dixon, Ezra Egerton-Green, Jack Patey, Joanna Farley, Rebecca Matthews, Conor McGilligan and James Watson all of whom recorded WQTs in every event swum.

In the overall BAGCAT competition, Joanna Farley took top honours in the girls 9 years category whilst Rebecca Matthews took the runner-up spot. Jack Patey was also runner up in the boys 9 year category whilst in the girls 10 years competition second and third place went to Holly Parsons and Rosie Mundy.
