With good representation from all four masters training squads, Swindon Dolphin were out in force last Saturday at the first round of the Wiltshire County Masters Competition at Trowbridge.
From the 52 individual Dolphin swims, there were 41 top three finishes including 27 victories. Notching up three victories each were Jose Adam, Brian Davis, Andy Evans, Dave Ingram, Louise Maynard and Nigel Masters. Masters also broke two county records in the 100m freestyle and the 25m breaststroke; a record that had stood since 1997.

The relays also proved fruitful with six podium finishes from eight races. A notable victory from the womens 120-159 years 100m medley relay of Sarah Forbes, Sharna King, Louise Maynard and Claire Hayes also set a new county record. The men showed their dominance in the same event taking first and third places with Bradford on Avon splitting the two teams by finishing second.
Dolphin not only finished the competition ahead on points overall, but also led the womens and mens points totals.
