Going into the second round of the Wiltshire Masters competition as clear leaders, a team of just twelve Dolphin swimmers turned out last weekend for the second round at the Link.
With so few swimmers, it was always going to be a tough task to stay ahead with other clubs fielding up to 22 swimmers. However, with all Dolphin swimmers gaining medal positions and valuable team points, the meet ended with Dolphin still ahead overall. Jon Audis, Jose Adam and Brian Davis all took four wins from all four events and the men’s 35-39 year age group was dominated by the trio of Mike Eaton, John “Tarzan” Drake and Dave Gingell who between them made a clean sweep of medal positions in the freestyle and breaststroke events and a one-two in the butterfly and backstroke.
