Following the move of Andi Manley to Derventio eXcel, Swindon Dolphin are delighted to announce that Louise Clayton will be taking up the position of Chief Coach from the start of the new season.
Louise is currently Acting Head Coach with City of Glasgow Swim Team and has been with the club for the past eight years. During this time, she has also been selected for international duties as part of the coaching teams for British Swimming overseas camps as well as at international swimming meets. Louise has coached British Age Group Champions and record holders and notable achievements in her career include being selected for membership of the Scottish Swimming Coaches Technical Panel and a member of the British Swimming Select Coaches Group. She was also awarded the BSCTA Scottish Development Coach of the Year in 2006.
Heading south to Swindon is somewhat of a homecoming for Louise whose coaching career started as Assistant Coach with Reading Swimming Club. Prior to this, Louise spent two years as a swimming teacher with Cannons Health and Fitness.
Swindon Dolphin are confident that Louise’s coaching skills and experience will ensure the continued development of the Club’s swimmers and coaching team and we look forward to welcoming her in August.
