The 2009 Swindon Dolphin Club Championships came to a conclusion last Sunday with the distance freestyle events at Milton Road Pool.
The girls’ 800m freestyle saw Elizabeth Beckett take the championship title with Mel Aguis in second and Charlotte Pitts taking championship bronze in a new 13 years age group best time.
In the boys’ 1500m freestyle contest, Joe Kerslake finished way ahead of the field in a new 14/15 years age group best time of 17:25.76. Nick Southern came home second and James Clark third.
