Swindon Dolphin marked its return to National League competition with a convincing 103 point victory in the opening round of division 3 at Keynsham. Having competed under the Swindon Swim Squad banner for the past two years, Dolphin swimmers were obliged to resume their involvement in the lowest of the four Western divisions.
Lining up against Bishopsworth / Portway, Cirencester, Severnside Tritons B and Soundwell B, there was never any doubt that Dolphin would emerge victorious at the end of the evening with many swims clearly of Premier division standard. Nevertheless, all five teams provided some good support for their competitors which ensured a superb atmosphere throughout the meet. Dolphin won 44 out of the 50 events, narrowly slipping to second place in the other six.
Round 2 of the competition takes place on 13th November and round 3 on 11th December.
