Swindon Dolphin Chief Coach Louise Clayton will join the Wiltshire ASA coaching team for the first time for the Inter County Championship in Sheffield this weekend. This will be Clayton’s first opportunity to work with the squad and she is relishing the chance. “It is an honour to be asked to work with the Wiltshire ASA squad and I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the coaching team,” said Clayton. “This is one of the highlights of the swimming calendar and it will be great to be part of it.”
Clayton joined Swindon Dolphin at the start of the 2009/2010 season having previously been Acting Head Coach with City of Glasgow Swim Team and prior to this Assistant Coach with Reading Swimming Club. Whilst with Glasgow, Louise was a member of the Scottish Swimming Coaches Technical Panel and the British Swimming Select Coaches Group. She was also awarded the BSCTA Scottish Development Coach of the Year in 2006.
There will be plenty of familiar faces in Sheffield as Clayton will be joined by a strong contingent of swimmers from Swindon Dolphin; Mathew Sambrook, Craig Harris, James Clark, Samantha Berry, James Watson, Patrick Seed and Charlotte Gardo.
